What You’ll Do
The Real Estate Industries Loan Team Leader leads one of the Bank’s most significant commercial business lines and is responsible for driving growth, portfolio performance, and market leadership across the Real Estate Industries segment, the Bank’s largest loan segment. This leader partners closely with the EVP/Chief Commercial Banking Officer to help shape business-line strategy, influence broader commercial banking direction, and align talent, market, and growth priorities. The role is expected to attract, retain, and develop top talent, maintain a strong and visible presence in the marketplace, be recognized externally as the Bank’s market leader for the real estate segment, and serve as an involved coach who helps team members properly structure transactions and negotiate pricing and terms.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead and develop a team of experienced lending officers and portfolio managers by setting clear expectations, reinforcing accountability, and owning performance across production, portfolio growth, profitability, and loan quality
- Partner with the EVP/Chief Commercial Banking Officer to help define and execute strategy for the Real Estate Industries business line, including growth priorities, market positioning, and talent planning
- Drive new and renewing loan activity through disciplined pipeline management, active business development, and focused sales efforts aligned with individual and team goals
- Serve as the Bank’s visible market leader for the real estate segment by building strong relationships with clients, top-tier investors, developers, and banking professionals to expand the Bank’s footprint and generate new business opportunities
- Coach and develop loan officers and portfolio managers through training, mentorship, and hands-on support in transaction structuring, pricing, negotiation, and client strategy
- Identify market opportunities and provide product, policy, and marketing recommendations based on observed trends, client needs, competitive dynamics, and segment expertise
- Help shape personnel strategy for the segment, including recruiting priorities, team development, and succession planning aligned with business-line objectives
- Partner with Business Support Services, Sales and Deposit leadership, and the Compliance Manager to support growth objectives, Community Reinvestment Act lending activities, and related Bank initiatives
- Monitor deal flow and report pipeline, calling activity, team performance, and market insights to executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking rules and regulations established by internal departments and external agencies

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) degree in business or another related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ banking experience; to include 5 years management and/or lending experience including commercial lending experience

Pay Range (Salary): $200,000.00 - $220,000.00/year
