We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and advancing First Northern Bank’s HR programs and initiatives. Partnering closely with leaders across the organization, you’ll help foster a compliant, collaborative and high-performing workplace while aligning HR practices with our core values and business goals.
Responsibilities Include
- HR Operations and business support
- Partner with department managers to support employee relations, performance management and HR policy guidance
- Support implementation of HR initiatives aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives
- Directly supervise the HR staff; responsible for supporting team members through coaching, guidance and performance management in alignment with company policies and applicable laws
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including performance issues, workplace concerns and policy interpretation
- Conduct or assist with workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions
- Oversee recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination and hiring support
- Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and support recruitment efforts
- Develop and implement leadership development and learning initiatives
- Ensure new hire onboarding programs are delivered consistently and effectively
- Administers the benefit compensation programs, including but not limited to payroll, salary adjustments, incentive plans, profit sharing and pay grade structures
- Responsible for conducting regular market benchmarking review and participates in compensation surveys to ensure internal and external competitiveness
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with applicable federal and California employment laws
- Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations, laws and policies
- Ensure maintenance of HRIS data integrity and support reporting needs
- Monitor HR metrics and assist with reporting and analytics

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of management experience, required
- Prior experience supporting core HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, and HR program administration, is required
- Strong working knowledge of California employment law
- Experience working in a regulated environment preferred (banking or financial services plus)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (ProLiant experience a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with managers and employees
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion

Pay Range (Salary): $95,000.00 - $110,000.00/year
